Privacy
How we handle your information when you book a repair or bring a device in.
Who is responsible
ANYTECH, 8 Greyhound Road, Hammersmith, London W6 8NX, decides how your information is used and is responsible for it. The software running this website and the repair desk is Techsugi, supplied by Standard28, which processes information on our instructions and not for its own purposes.
What we collect
- When you book: your name, phone number, email address if you give one, the device, what it is doing, and when you would prefer to come in.
- When you bring a device in: the device make, model and condition on arrival, what we find, what we do, the parts used, and photographs of its condition.
- When you pay: what was sold, the amount and the date. Card details are handled by the payment provider and are never stored by us.
We do not ask for your device passcode through this website. We do not use your information for marketing.
Why we hold it
To carry out the repair you asked for, to contact you about it, to honour the warranty if the device comes back, and to keep the accounting records the law requires. The lawful bases are performing our contract with you, and our legal obligations for tax and accounting records.
Who else sees it
Only the services that make the system work:
- Vercel — hosting for this website and the repair system
- Neon — the database holding repair records
- Clerk — staff sign-in for our team, not customers
- Microsoft — our email
We do not sell your information or share it for advertising.
Your tracking link
The link we send you opens your repair without a password. It contains a long random code, shows only your own repair, and reveals nothing if the code is wrong. Treat it like a receipt — anyone with the link can see that repair's progress.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, or object to how we use it. Ask in the shop or call 0208 143 1376. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Still being confirmed
We are finalising two things and will publish them here as soon as they are agreed: how long we keep repair records and device photographs after a repair is completed, and the named contact for privacy questions. Until then, ask in the shop and we will answer directly.
